Buyer Beware

The internet is a wonderful tool for aspects of your wedding shopping.  Where else can you buy crystals in bulk for next to nothing?!  It is the place you go to save on the small stuff...

Your wedding party's attire doesn't really go in the column of "small stuff."  When doing a search for any major designer, you are bound to find websites offering deep discounts on internationally recognized designer wedding and bridesmaid gowns.  What most brides don't know is that most designers do not sell their gowns online.  Most bridal salons are contractually obligated to only sell in their physical store fronts and at set prices (this is why you'll see "Find An Authorized Retailer" on so many of the designer's websites).  Many online bridal shops will be selling knockoffs as name brand, and at such a low price. 

Always do your research before buying, whether it is online or in a store front.  Ask important questions, such as "Are you an authorized retailer for this designer?"  While the discounted price may be tempting, consider the perks you receive when ordering with an actual store.  They usually have relationships with the company where if there are any issues encountered on your order, the store can act on your behalf and try to find a solution.  Online retailers may not be so accommodating.  Let a professional help you out when it comes to ordering your party's attire.  We're here to help with sizing, shipping, and all those details.     

There are enough things in the wedding planning process to stress you out, so don't let the lure of online discounts add to it.

This weekend the wonderful, Meg Lammers, of MEG Jewelry will be in store for our annual Meg Jewelry Trunk Show!  Meg is an Iowa-based designer who uses freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver.  Her pieces are great and heirloom quality.  Her newest collection has a fantastic, vintage vibe.

Great news, everybody!  We have finally been able to reschedule our Blue by Enzoani Trunk Show!  You might remember the big blizzard back in January which brought business to a halt for a few days and put a damper on the dresses arriving in time. 
Next weekend, 3/25 and 3/26, we will be featuring 10-15 additional Blue by Enzoani wedding gowns in our store.  We have also received authorization (for the first time ever!) to allow 10% off the price of their gowns when special ordering, for those two days only!
It will be a great event and appointments are still available!

Bells Are Ringing!

This past weekend we had an extra special bride, Cecily, get married.  Originally, her fiancee and she were planning for a September wedding but due to the sudden illness of her grandfather, they moved the wedding up by 6 months!  So in less than 2 months, they had bridesmaids dresses and tuxes picked out and ordered.  Luckily, Cecily had order "Lorraine" by Maggie Sottero in early 2010.  The wedding came out beautifully! 

 "We got so many compliments on the girls' attire and the guys, and of course my amazing dress...that I am pretty sure I want to wear every day!  Thank you thank you thank you 10,000 times over!"
