Downtown Vibe

Not to be outshone by Kate Middleton, one of our brides got married recently and had a beautiful, KC wedding.  Amy and BJ were married at Jacob's Well in Westport, with the reception following at Californos.  Her beautiful Sottero & Midgley gown matched the classic, urban decor perfectly!  We love the rich colors and dramatic flair to her pictures.  Congrats Amy & BJ!

Royal Affair

It has finally happened...Kate and William have gotten married!  And more importantly, we now know all the details on her gown.  Her wedding gown was by the quintessential English label, Alexander McQueen.  The ivory, duchess satin gown had beautiful box pleats to accent her tiny waist.  The bodice was covered in lace with 58 organza covered buttons going down the back.  Her maid of honor, sister Pippa, also wore a wonderfully simple McQueen gown.  The lace on Kate's gown reminds us of Blue by Enzoani's design aesthetics.
Congratulations to the happy couple!!

Award Winning Style

We are very excited here at the shop because we are a little over a week away from our Maggie Sottero Trunk Show.  Maggie is one of the most desired and respected names in the bridal business and we couldn't be happier to be receiving a range of new gowns from them for the trunk show.  We should be receiving numerous best sellers and selections from their new season.  We still have appointments available for Friday, May 6th, and Saturday, May 7th.  Give us a call to get set up!

Goin' to the Chapel

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!  And we got a special surprise from one of our brides this morning.  Julie was married last weekend and she is definitely one of the more jubilant looking brides!  Julie and her new hubby, Grady, were wed surrounded by a grinning group of family and friends.  She in a simple, but gorgeous Blu by Mori Lee wedding gown and he in a classic suit by Jim's Formal Wear
Congratulations Julie and Grady!

Race to Be Wed

A few weeks ago, local makeup artist Melissa Blayton, held an "Amazing Race" for couples called "Race to Be."  Melissa worked with local vendors to provide a wonderful oppurtunity for local couples.  The grand prize winners received several prizes, including free photography, flowers, etc.  The winners, Richelle and Zach, had to compete in challenges such as mechanical bull riding, blindfold obstacle courses, inflatable sumo-suit wrestling.  Richelle came in and spent some of the hard-earned, free money, at our Meg Jewelry Trunk Show!  Check out a video of the event below!

Up and Coming

Well, our MEG Trunk Show was a wonderful event!  Meg brought in several tester pieces which many of our brides loved.  Can't wait to see which of them make the final collection.
The next few weeks are going to be kind of quiet, in terms of trunk shows.  Prom is gearing up and many Metro boys are heading in to get decked out for the big dance.
Also, we were recently featured on local photographer, Heather Brulez's, blog about the pros of ordering with a bridal store.  Check it out!
