Brides Beware! You get what you pay for!

Mia's Bridal & Tailoring is a licensed salon with established relationships with all of our designers.  If you order a wedding gown here; you will receive a beautiful, quality designer gown you can be proud of!  Nothing breaks our hearts more than seeing a bride or prom-goer who has been taken advantage of by ordering online.  Recently, we've found a great Facebook page, International Ownership, who is advocating against counterfeit & knock-off gowns, and we want to share a few of our tips with you for red flags when online shopping.
Here's an example of a knock-off gown: the original on the left is by Mori Lee #1612, the reproduction on the right is a counterfeit gown.  You can clearly see the difference in silhouette, fit, and materials on the gown.

Another common trick of counterfeiters: on the left is the original image of Maggie Sottero's "Meredith Rose" from the Sottero & Midgley collection.  On the right, you see the same image, with a different model's head & a solid background photoshopped in.  The problem? Not only is this theft of the designers original image, but you really have no idea what the gown they produce will look like!

Our final piece of advice is when in doubt, just remember the old saying, "You get what you pay for!"  If a gown seems to good to be true (a $1500 dress online for only $150?!), it probably is!
